Obama all the way!

This is the first year I am able to vote and already I can’t wait to see what he will do. Clearly you can see I am more than for Obama, but as he said, “Its time for a change”. Yes it is! I see him fit to make this country do a three hundred and sixty degree flip. Obama’s what we need and he is open for what should be and what is right, not just what the what protestants want. Let me elaborate as to what I mean.

First off, I like that he is open to the fact of same sex union and your opposed to the same sex Constitutional Ban. However I do believe that marriage should be a choice, I think that when this change of union happens you’ll see that we’re just like you and your significant other, well almost.

The second is the minimum wage increase. Seeing as how I am barely making it on my own with the minimum job pay, if it increases it will help me and the other person I am supporting. Not to mention the fact that gas is increasing so we need to money to back it up. If I am not mistaken the teenage or young adults are the ones that drive most so we suffer more for the gas and so just a little more money in our pockets wouldn’t hurt.

Then for the last the open mind and heart that Obama has. That alone can and will go a long way. More than most think. I am here to quote him along with millions of other voters in saying “its time for a change”!

Caddie Woodlawn's Internal Conflict

In Caddie Woodlawn by Carol Ryrie Brink there are many conflicts. The main one to me is the always standing “appropriate sex role behavior” for a young lady such as herself. This conflict has always and will always be around but now it’s in a Childs book and shows the hard time for girls who are tom-boys. So I feel the need to talk about the internal conflict of how Caddie feels about her tom-boy like self.Caddie Woodlawn, a young, eleven year old American girl from west in the 1860s is a wild fun loving tom-boy. She runs a muck with her brothers, hangs with the Indians, picks barriers, plows fields, and just be who she wants to be. Yet many want her to be a lady, which she does not. The one who truly wants her to be a lady is society and culture of the time and her mother Harriet. However, because she is allowed to get away with all this sovereignty is because her father, John, thinks it will better her health and ability to grow strong if she runs wild. Caddie realizes that she is dissimilar from other young ladies and women. In spite of that she is still happy with the way she lives and who she is and has no aspiration to change who she is. That’s what makes her a true American girl, and even better Pioneer.

My Pioneer

A pioneer, someone who never quits! That’s what they define it as in class. To me however it’s the one who’s always there. Therefore, for me the pioneer of my life is the only person who has ever been there for me in my life and before her, my life was depression and anger and analyst after analyst. She has helped me through a lot and now I know ill have her forever. My pioneer is non other than my now significant other, Sarah Gould.

When we met about three years ago, I had no clue what was going to happen. All I can remember is that my papa Jed took me on a trip to Louisiana to try and help me relax and calm down from all the grisly things going on in my life, and while he went to see his son he took me to the mall and that’s when I met my pioneer. We both sat down on the bench and just started talking and had no one else to hang out with and we kept in touch and she helped me through a lot. She was my best friend in the world and then I found out she was gay, which was amazing to me, since I was as well. Then when we did date, I moved here so that she could help me get away from my surroundings. From then on she has helped me get my life in order, pass school, stop drugs, help with my anger and depression, and make me a happier person. To top it off she will do anything to help me or her family. As she always says to me, you have to give respect to get respect. That’s what I live by. So, my pioneer is my best friend, Significant other, Sarah Gould.
